Klein Bros. Cowboy Cookies - The Native Texan

Klein Bros. Cowboy Cookies

Bake a taste of Texas with these chewy oatmeal cranberry cookies made using Klein Bros. Cranberry Mix.

Ingredients

  • 1½ sticks butter, softened

  • 1 cup packed brown sugar

  • ¾ cup granulated sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 tsp baking soda

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 1 cup quick oats

  • 12 oz Klein Bros. Cranberry Mix

Instructions

  1. Heat things up — Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Cream the base — In a large bowl or stand mixer, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy and well combined.

  3. Add the flair — Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs until the mixture is smooth and glossy.

  4. Dry ingredients next — Add the flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix until just incorporated—don’t overmix.

  5. Bring on the mix-ins — Gently fold in the quick oats and Klein Bros. Cranberry Mix until evenly distributed.

  6. Portion like a pro — Use a cookie scoop (or two spoons) to drop rounded dough scoops onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, spaced a couple of inches apart.

  7. Bake to perfection — Bake for about 12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and centers are set.

  8. Cool ’em down — Let cookies rest on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to finish cooling.
